Tanks - 9/10 An awesome selection of tanks from 2.5 to 75 gallons, saltwater specific tanks and rimless tanks. This could’ve been a coincidence, but if not, good for them! They had rimless tanks, saltwater specific tanks, and of course all of your basic Aqueon 2.5, 5, 10, 15, 20, 29, 40, 55, and 75 gallon tanks. I did notice that, although they did have fish bowls, they were low down on the shelf. I immediately saw their large selection of tanks, which ranged from bowls up to 75 gallon tanks. I walked back to their fish section, which was in the back right corner of the store. It was founded in 1965 and now has over 1,500 stores. Petco is the lesser store in terms of net worth. This image is hot linked and may use cookies. This is just a generalized opinion on which one seems to be better from research and in person visits to each store. Some PetSmarts and Petcos are better than others. In this blog, I will talk about the pros and cons of each pet store, and rank them.ĭisclaimer: This is my opinion. I also went to one other pet store that we’ll get to later in this blog. I went to a random Petco and a random PetSmart. I wanted to write a blog explaining which chain store you should choose for your fish & supplies, and why. Both of these chain stores have received both positive and negative views by different people. They are the two biggest pet store chains in America, each making 3 and 5 billion dollars respectively in the last year alone. If you live in the United States, like me, you probably have bought from or at least seen a Petco or a PetSmart.
